Hi there. I’m sure at some point in time you may have heard someone say ‘there’s a first time for everything ‘. (If not, you are reading it from here ?). Well that may generally be true but this could be dependent on the willingness of the person to execute the task at hand.
There is something sentimental about the first time you do something. It shows that you have achieved a milestone in your life. The first word a child speaks, the first time a child walks are part of the natural developmental processes in children and they normally occur within a specific period of time unless there was an underlying problem that causes delay. Successfully executing something for the first time is usually celebrated because it is an indication of growth in capacity and capability. It gives you the impetus to continue since successful completion is deemed possible.
Life gives us opportunities to experience things for the first time. For sure, it is upto the individual to be open to these experiences.
It is also true that not all first time experiences are positive. Many can look back at their life so far and contemplate on the first times they went through challenging times. Although one may not be fond of them, one may appreciate that some of those experiences made them stronger, more knowledgable and equipped to deal with such issues should they arise in future. In addition, one is in a position to give advice to someone in a similar quagmire based on their past experience.
First times, first times, first times are important.
