‘….. he is a double minded man, unstable in all his ways’. Words, straight up from the Bible (James 1:8). In those words lie the truth. Being double minded shows indecisiveness, in ability to commit and execute effectively. You want to go in one direction but want to satisfy another which not only leads to confusion but also exhaustion. Trying to live two sides at a time takes a toll on someone. The image they want to have versus the image others see brings about inner turmoil that steals your joy, peace and keeps you living in deceit. Why insist on living two sides at the same time?
When one lives double minded, they are living a lie. They are deceiving themselves and others. They are potraying themselves as being insincere and insecure. They end up wasting the precious time they have. Because the foundation of being double minded lies in deceit, it is unstable. Eventually, the life lived being double minded will come tumbling down because the foundation was weak.
Why live a double minded life?Why live in indecision? Why live in deceit? Nothing good can come out of being double minded.
